Who Are We?

We are a small minority-women owned business aligned with seasoned educators, coaches, and professions experienced in teaching and instruction, special populations, testing and administrations, crisis management, mediation, quality assurance, health and wellness, risk management, youth, and staff development.

A&A Athletic Consulting and Vigilance Safety Training Center provide student-athlete support services, institutional risk management, assessments, planning, and health and safety training.

To educate, engage, and empower individuals, businesses, and workplaces with the competency to anticipate, prepare, prevent, and respond to daily incidences and emergency situations.

What Do We Do?

A&A Athletic Consulting, LLC  was established to assist parents and student-athletes through the college admissions and recruiting process in addition to helping institutions develop a system of operation that is conducive to the overall student-athlete well-being.

Vigilance Safety Training Center serves as the educational training entity of A&A.  It is an endorsed training agency of the Emergency Care and Safety Institute and NCS4 to provide the Sports & Entertainment Venue Staff  Certification (CSVS) and a Testing Assessment Center for NOCTI offering Job Readiness, Employability Skills and Career Technical Education Certification.

 

The Safety Training  Center provides program support services to schools, universities, sports organizations, and community-based agencies as it relates to health and safety planning, staff development, risk assessment, risk management planning,  event/facility operational policy and procedure review.

Professionally, Alva's experience has afforded her 26 years in management and program development.  She has served 25+ years in the health industry as a health educator,  emergency medical technician, and community health consultant providing emergency response training, community education on chronic diseases, and direct service provider in adolescent drug treatment and case management.  Alva served  20+ years in the sports industry as a coach,  basketball official, event staff, and 15 years in athletic administration. 
Her role as a Sports Director for PVAAU has made a positive impact on the children and families within the community through her DCPG Sports organization, which teaches the fundamental skills of emerging sports and sports not readily found in the local urban community. DCPG is committed to reversing the phenomena of the haves and the have-not in sports participation by ensuring that all children regardless of socioeconomic status have opportunities to develop and play.
